About the race

The race.

Run for the Girls takes place June 6, 2026, at Greg Smith River Trail on Riverfront Drive in Fort Smith, Arkansas, with races starting at 8:00 a.m. The event offers a chip-timed, USATF-certified 5K course, a 10K, and a 5-mile run, along with a 1-mile option and family fun activities. Early packet pickup is available June 5 from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. at True Grit Running Company. All age groups are welcome. Participants registering before May 24 receive t-shirts. All proceeds benefit the Girls Shelter of Fort Smith, Inc., which provides residential treatment services to at-risk females aged 12–17.
