Run Your Socks Off 5K + a Little Extra takes place on March 21, 2026, in Lake Charles, Louisiana, benefiting the Down Syndrome Association of Southwest Louisiana in honor of World Down Syndrome Day. The event features a 3.21-mile walk/run distance starting and finishing at Crying Eagle Brewing Company. Race day begins at 8:00 a.m., with onsite registration and packet pickup available from 6:30 to 7:45 a.m. Awards will be presented approximately 9:15 to 9:30 a.m. across multiple categories including overall male and female, age groups from 19 years and younger through 70+, and specific categories for runners with Down syndrome. Packet pickup is also available Friday, March 20, from 12:00 to 3:00 p.m. at the same location. T-shirt sizes are guaranteed for registrations completed by February 24 at noon.
