The race.
The Sacred Heart School 5K Run/Walk takes place April 17, 2026, in Yankton, SD, benefiting Zoe Care pregnancy resource center. Participants can register in advance for $25 (through June 12) or on race day for $30, with guaranteed t-shirts for those registering by June 1. The 5K route follows the Missouri River and Meridian Bridge. The self-timed event begins at 9:05 a.m., with packet pickup from 8:30–9:00 a.m. Water and snacks are provided after the race, strollers and leashed pets are welcome, and a door prize drawing offers gift cards to those bringing diapers. A virtual option is available to complete the distance independently.
