Salute to Service 5K & 1 Miler 2026

The race.

The Salute to Service 5K and 1 Mile takes place November 7, 2026, in Suffolk, VA, starting at Festival Park (215 W Washington). The 5K begins at 8 a.m. and the 1 Mile at approximately 9:15 a.m. on a flat downtown course. Packet pickup is available Friday, November 6th from 3–6 p.m. at Momac Brewing Company, or race morning from 7–7:50 a.m. for the 5K and 7–9 a.m. for the mile. All registered runners receive a premium t-shirt and finishers receive medals. An aid station with water is located near the 1.5-mile mark. Post-race amenities include food, beverages, and live entertainment. Awards go to top three finishers overall and in designated age groups for each distance, plus top three male and female walkers in the 5K. Military team competition categories recognize the largest and fastest teams by service branch.
