About the race
The race.
The Sloth Run offers 5K, 10K, half-marathon, and 1-mile distances in Sacramento on August 29, 2026. Participants choose from four wave start times beginning at 7:30 a.m., with coordinators available for three hours after the first wave. All ages and paces are welcome to run or walk. Registration includes a technical running shirt (shipped to your address), finisher's medal, finisher's towel or giveaway item, digital training pack, and online results certificate. Race bibs are provided on race day. Timing is optional; use a personal app or ask coordinators for time tracking. A virtual run option is also available. The Best Races donates $1 per mile logged after the race to partner charities.
