The race.

The South Seas Captiva Island Triathlon takes place on September 27, 2026, on Captiva Island, Florida. The event offers multiple distance options: a Super Sprint featuring a 200-yard swim, 5-mile bike, and 1.5-mile run; a Sprint triathlon with a 0.25-mile swim, 10-mile bike, and 3.1-mile run; a duathlon with a 1-mile run, 10-mile bike, and 3.1-mile run; and an aquabike with a 0.25-mile swim and 10-mile bike. The swim takes place in Gulf of Mexico waters, the bike course is closed to vehicular traffic, and the run follows Florida's Gulf Coast. The event is held at South Seas Resort on Captiva Island and is designed as beginner-friendly.
