About the race

The race.

The Summer Sprint Series 2026 kicks off May 6 in Mandeville, Louisiana with a 2-mile run called the Summer Kickoff Sprint. Participants who complete two of the three scheduled races in the series receive a commemorative t-shirt. Watermelon slices are provided after the run. The race operates on a self-timed honor system, with the top five male and top five female finishers recording their names on a leadership board. Summer colors or Hawaiian-themed attire is encouraged for participants.
