The race.

The third annual Texas Sun Showdown takes place June 14, 2026, in San Antonio, TX, offering three racing options: a 13.1-mile half marathon, a 5K, and a half marathon relay. The half marathon and 2-person relay start at 7:15 AM, the 4-person relay starts at 7:20 AM, and the 5K starts at 7:30 AM. Half marathon participants have a 4-hour time limit. All finishers receive a Texas-themed medal, shirt, and barbecue. The half marathon features five relay categories (Open, Masters for ages 40+, Super Masters for ages 50+, Mixed X with three female and one male runner, and Mixed Y with three male and one female runner), plus a Military category. Awards ceremonies run from 8:30 AM to 10:00 AM. A virtual option allows participants to complete the 5K or half marathon from any location between June 15 and June 30, 2026.
