The race.
The 36th Great Pumpkin Classic takes place October 18, 2026, in Trumbull, Connecticut, featuring six distances: a 5K (3.1 miles, chip-timed with awards), a 2-mile run, a 1-mile run, a half-mile run, a quarter-mile run, and a 3K option. A 1.7-mile untimed walk and kids fun run on the track are also offered. Registration is online only, with guaranteed shirt sizing available through October 4. Finishers receive food including cider donuts, bagels, and snacks. Proceeds benefit the Trumbull High School Scholarship Foundation and Trumbull Schools PTSA, with total scholarships awarded exceeding $340,000 since 1991.
