The Big Gay 5K & 1Mi. Pride Stride 2026

The race.

The Big Gay 5K & 1Mi. Pride Stride takes place on March 21, 2026, in Rome, Georgia, benefiting Rome GA Pride. The 5K begins at 9:00 AM and the 1-mile Pride Stride starts at 9:45 AM, both on a USATF-certified course through the Oostanaula River Trails with start and finish at Ridge Ferry Park. Race registration fees are $30 pre-registration or $40 day-of for the 5K, and $25 pre-registration or $35 day-of for the 1 mile. Packet pickup is available Friday, March 20, from 10:00 AM–6:00 PM at GoGo Running, with guaranteed t-shirt sizes for registrations completed by March 11. The 5K offers awards for top-three overall finishers by gender, masters and grandmasters categories, age group placements (14-under through 70+), and nonbinary winners across multiple categories.
