About the race

The race.

The Long Ride Home is a 22-day virtual cycling challenge running from July 7 through July 28, 2026, open to participants nationwide. Riders of all experience levels can log miles using any cycling discipline—road, gravel, mountain bike, commuting, indoor trainer, or recreational riding—either solo or as part of a team. Activities are uploaded throughout the event and tracked on a live leaderboard, with recognition categories for top male, female, and team mileage. Registration opens June 8 and closes July 6, with a $10 entry fee (plus processing fees). All proceeds benefit Project Echelon's veteran mental health mission through The Long Ride Home fundraising campaign.
