The race.
The Ryan Walsworth Spear-It 5K takes place June 13, 2026, in Mears, Michigan. The 5K run and walk starts and finishes at Dune Town Mall in downtown Silver Lake, following a course along the lakeshore and through wooded roads in the Upper Silver Lake area. Registration is $30. Top male and female finishers receive trophies, and the top three finishers in each age group receive medals. All participants receive asparagus and a commemorative T-shirt with preregistration. The event benefits the asparagus and agriculture community.
