About the race

The race.

Trail Kids Mountain Bike Session 2, operated by Loppet, offers six-week mountain bike instruction for ages 7–13 at multiple Minneapolis locations including Theodore Wirth Park, Elm Creek, Lebanon Hills, and Monarch. Sessions meet on Monday/Wednesday or Tuesday/Thursday evenings, with separate Girls Rock offerings and afternoon options at Wirth Park. Participants gain skills on paved and single-track trails across beginner to advanced ability levels, split into coaching groups by age and ability. All registrants receive a Trail Kids T-shirt and water bottle, and have the opportunity to compete in an included Adventure MTB Race during a scheduled practice. Riders must provide their own mountain bike with front and rear hand brakes, helmet, and water carrier; no rental bikes are available.
