Trail Kids Run & Orienteering is a program for ages 7–13 held at Theodore Wirth Park in Minneapolis. Participants learn orienteering fundamentals while exploring trails, using maps to locate hidden controls, and engaging in agility exercises, balance work, and running games like ultimate frisbee and relays. The program offers four ability levels—White (beginner), Green (beginner to intermediate), Blue (intermediate to advanced), and Black (advanced)—with participants assigned to coaching groups by age and experience. All participants receive a Trail Kids t-shirt and water bottle. An Adventure Run Race is included with registration and held during one regularly scheduled practice per session. Participants should bring running shoes and a water bottle to each session.
