Vac & Dash Two-Mile Tuesday is a weekly speed workout series running Tuesdays from June through August 2026 in Albemarle, NC. Participants complete a 2-mile timed effort and log results on RunSignUp; runners may participate weekly or selectively, run on alternate days if needed, and run anywhere rather than at an official location. Organizer-led runs start at 5:15 a.m. and 6:00 a.m. at the original route on Depot Street behind the Stanly County Family YMCA, with additional evening options at 6:00 p.m. at various locations offering water. The original course begins at Troy Alexander Street and Depot, follows Depot to Salisbury, then the Greenway along NC 52, and reverses from the tree near the baseball field restrooms. There is no entry fee; optional 2-Mile Tuesday shirts are $15. Prizes are awarded throughout the summer based on logged times.
