Walk on the Wild Side 2026

The race.

Walk on the Wild Side takes place June 1, 2026, in Sheboygan, Wisconsin, offering both in-person and virtual participation options. The in-person 3-mile trail walk at Maywood occurs on June 20, with staggered starts between 9 a.m. and 11:15 a.m., and a shorter prairie loop option. Participants can choose a self-propelled virtual activity during June at their own location and pace. Registration is $10 for Maywood Association members and $15 for the general public; children ages 4–17 are $5, and children 3 and under are free. Refreshments are provided at the end of the in-person walk, and Open Door Bird Sanctuary will present live birds at 9 a.m. with a meet-and-greet from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Proceeds benefit Maywood's environmental education programs and park improvements.
