Registering for a race

Using a discount code when you register

Where to enter a promo code, and what each rejection message means.

Where do I enter my code?

Enter it in the promo code box at the payment step of registration. The discount is applied to your total before you pay, so you can see exactly what it took off. Club codes, organizer promotions, and ambassador codes all go in the same box.

Why was my code rejected?

Codes are set up by the organizer, and each one carries its own rules. The message tells you which rule you hit:

  • We don't recognize that code. The code does not exist for this race. Codes are per race, so one from a different event will not work here.
  • This code isn't active yet. It has a start date that has not arrived.
  • You've already used this code. It is limited to one use per person and your account has used it.
  • This code doesn't apply to the distance you picked. It is restricted to certain distances. Changing your distance may make it valid.
  • Your entry doesn't meet this code's minimum to qualify. There is a minimum spend and your entry is below it.
  • This code can't be applied to a free entry. There is nothing to discount.

If the code should work and does not, the organizer is the one who can check it. Their support email is on the race page.

Can I use a code and a deferral credit together?

Yes, when both apply to that race. A deferral credit is tied to the organizer who issued it, so it only works on their races. If you see that a credit cannot be used for this race's organizer, that is why.

Find a race in the race directory, or check what your run club offers in the club directory.
