The 12th Annual Ocean Commotion 5K Run/Walk takes place on October 11, 2026, in Phippsburg, Maine, benefiting Marine Mammals of Maine. Participants can choose between an in-person 3.1-mile run/walk with professional chip timing or a virtual 5K challenge completed anytime during the week prior to the event. Race day registration opens at 8:00 a.m., with the main event starting at 9:00 a.m. for runners followed by walkers, and a separate kids' 1-mile fun run beginning at 9:10 a.m. with prizes for all participants. Prizes are awarded to top human and canine finishers in the 5K, with youth activities, informational booths, and a raffle drawing scheduled throughout the morning. The course follows ocean-side trails accessible to runners, joggers, walkers, and dogs.
