The race.

The 2026 July 4th Virtual Run is a 5K event organized by The Global Fitness & Charity Challenge, held virtually on or around July 4th with participants completing the distance at their chosen location. Participants may run, walk, jog, or hike on their preferred route—neighborhood streets, local paths, treadmills, tracks, or vacation destinations. Registration includes an official race bib, a personalized commemorative event T-shirt with the participant's name and hometown printed on the back alongside other finishers' results, and a digital finisher medal. Results may be submitted from this virtual event or from an official local July 4th race; participants can also choose not to submit a time while still being listed in the official results. Shirts are produced and mailed to participants after results are collected. The event celebrates the nation's 250th birthday and welcomes runners and walkers from across the country.
