The race.
The 2026 RAT 1000 and Mini RAT take place October 10 in Texarkana, AR. Participants can choose between a 1000-mile continuous mixed-surface route from Texarkana to Tucumcari, NM, or the Mini RAT option for flexible participation. The full route spans five legs covering terrain from Northeast Texas piney woods through the Panhandle Red Roads and Caprock Escarpment to the High Plains. The event offers three formats: a stage race with group rides and overnight locations, a self-supported individual time trial following Tour Divide rules with required live tracking, or the Mini RAT for riders tackling any portion at their own pace. Club Spinistry members ride free.
