5th Annual 5K Firecracker Run 2026

The race.

The 5th Annual 5K Firecracker Run takes place on July 4, 2026, in Beaufort, SC, benefiting HELP of Beaufort. The 5K begins at 8 a.m. on Bay & Newcastle Streets in downtown Beaufort, following a certified course that crosses Woods Memorial Bridge through Lady's Island before returning to the start/finish at Freedom Mall. Packet pickup occurs on Friday, July 3, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Grounded Running (2139 Boundary Street, Suite 108, Beaufort, SC 29902), with same-day registration available race morning from 7 to 7:40 a.m. All finishers receive t-shirts (sizes guaranteed only for registrations by June 1); virtual participation is available with shirts mailed for an additional $15. Awards go to the top three overall finishers of each gender and top two in each age division (under 12 through 70+) for in-person participants only, presented at 8:45 a.m. Pets on standard 4- to 6-foot leads and strollers are welcome.
