About the race
The race.
The Blackberry Festival 5K takes place on Saturday, July 4, 2026, at 8:00 a.m. in downtown Carlisle, Kentucky. This 5K run/walk supports Nicholas County Carlisle Tourism and offers chip timing, commemorative race shirts, and free race photos. Awards go to the top three male and female overall finishers, plus the top two in each age group spanning from 0–9 through 70+. A separate Fastest Kid in Town race for children 12 and under is free to enter with optional commemorative shirts available. Packet pickup occurs race morning from 6:30–7:45 a.m. downtown. Virtual and social team options are available, with a prize for the largest team.
