About the race
The race.
The Capital Pursuit offers both 10-mile and 4-mile race options on September 13, 2026, in Des Moines, Iowa. The 10-mile course is the flagship event organized by Capital Striders, a Road Runners Club of America member club. Both distances start and finish at Easter Lake in southeast Des Moines. The event welcomes runners of all ages and is part of Capital Striders' community-based racing program.
