The race.
The Freedom 4th of July 5K and 1 Mile Walk takes place on July 4, 2026, in Stanardsville, VA. The race features a 5K distance and a 1-mile walk option on an out-and-back course along Main Street. Registration opens at 7:30 AM, with the National Anthem at 8:25 AM and races starting at 8:30 AM. Awards are presented at 9:15 AM. All proceeds benefit the Stanardsville July 4th Celebration. The Stanardsville Independence Day Parade begins at 10:00 AM following the race.
