The race.

Julia's Run for Children takes place April 26, 2026, at Edgewood Park in the Westville section of New Haven, Connecticut. The event offers six distances: a 5K, two-mile, one-mile, one-kilometer, 400-yard, and an untimed one-mile walk for participants 18 and under. The 5K and one-mile courses follow park roads on an out-and-back route with no vehicle traffic. All race proceeds benefit LEAP (Leadership, Education & Athletics in Partnership, Inc.), a New Haven-based nonprofit supporting underserved youth. Participants receive specially designed event shirts, with guaranteed sizing available through April 16.
