About the race
The race.
Kathy's Run for Cancer takes place July 3–4, 2026, in Richland, MI, at Richland Gull Lake High School. The 1K fun run/walk occurs Friday, July 3rd at 6:30 p.m., while the 5K and 10K races start Saturday, July 4th at 7:45 a.m. and 7:30 a.m. respectively. All events begin and end at the high school; courses wind through neighboring streets and Richland countryside. The 10K follows the 5K route twice. Participants registered online by June 23rd receive technical t-shirts. Results are timed and posted live on RunSignUp. Proceeds benefit the Bronson Cancer Center, West Michigan Cancer Center, and a nursing scholarship for Gull Lake High School seniors.
