About the race

The race.

The 5K starts and finishes at the pavilion at Empire public beach on Lake Michigan. Runners head out onto Lake Street, climb Wilco Road to the Empire Bluff Trail trailhead, then turn around for a descent through Empire's neighborhoods back to the pavilion. Finishers receive refreshments and prizes.
