About the race
The race.
The Lake Erie Liberty 5K takes place on Saturday, June 27, 2026, at Beach Park Station in Avon Lake, Ohio. Participants can run a 5K (chip-timed) or a 1-mile fun run (untimed). Registration and packet pickup begin at 9:00 a.m., with both races starting at 10:00 a.m., followed by awards at 11:00 a.m. Pre-registration costs $30 for either distance with a June 24 deadline; race-day registration is $35 per person. The top overall male and female finishers in each of ten age groups (8 and under through 80+) receive awards, along with overall winners. The first 250 registrants receive a race shirt, and the first 300 registrations receive a participant medal. Post-race refreshments are provided to all participants.
