About the race
The race.
Lake Run Club hosts a non-competitive kids running program on Friday evenings throughout the summer. On June 19, 2026, the 400-meter run takes place at Central Catholic High School, 1201 Airport Road, Bloomington, IL. Children ages 1–12 are organized into age groups, with the youngest (2 and under) running first; parents may accompany young children. Walk-up registration opens at 5:30 PM, with the 2-year-old group starting at 6:00 PM followed by successive age groups through 12+. Registration costs $5 per session. T-shirts are available for purchase. Timing clocks are on-site to record finish times.
