About the race
The race.
The Las Cruces Running Club Youth Summer Program hosts its second 1-mile fun run on June 20, 2026, at East Mesa Sports Park in Las Cruces, NM. This free event is open to children 14 and under. The race starts at 9 a.m., with check-in and lineup beginning at 8:50 a.m. Participants receive a bib at check-in and a t-shirt (required for first-time runners). The course is typically an out-and-back format with course workers present. Finishers receive a numbered stick indicating their placement and can exchange it for a prize after providing their bib and receiving their recorded finish time. Results and photos are posted online following the event.
