The race.
The Mackinac Island Great Turtle Half Marathon & 5.7 Mile takes place on October 24, 2026, on Mackinac Island, Michigan. Runners and walkers traverse interior trails and shoreline routes during the final open weekend of the season. All registrants receive a commemorative medal and race shirt. Finishers receive post-race refreshments and goodies. The event coincides with Halloween festivities at Mission Point and Downtown Mackinac Island, along with end-of-season sales throughout the downtown area.
