About the race
The race.
The Mary Lou Triathlon takes place June 14, 2026, at Deyo Reservoir near Weippe, Idaho. The event features a 300-yard swim from the sandy beach, a 13-mile mountain bike course on gravel roads and forested trails, and a 2.2-mile trail run around the reservoir. Packet pickup occurs Saturday, June 13, from 3:00 to 5:30 p.m. at Schmidt House, or Sunday, June 14, from 6:30 to 7:00 a.m. at the reservoir. The race starts at 8:00 a.m. Sunday with an athlete briefing at 7:30 a.m. Wetsuits are permitted only if water temperature is below 84 degrees; helmets are required for the bike segment.
