About the race

The race.

The Mayor's Youth Council COLOR FUN RUN takes place Friday, May 8, 2026, at Thomas Jefferson Middle School in Valparaiso, IN, benefitting Valpo Parks. The 1.5-mile untimed course accommodates running and walking with obstacle stations throughout. Packet pickup begins at 5 p.m. on-site, with the run starting at 6 p.m. in five-minute waves. All participants receive a white t-shirt designed to be filled with color. Registration costs $25 for adults and $15 for students, with a $10 discount available for family groups of two adults and two or more children registered together. The event includes free pre- and post-race activities such as a DJ, face painting, coloring stations, bounce house, and yard games.
