The race.

The National Trails Day 5K takes place June 6, 2026, at High Bridge Trail State Park in Rice, VA, featuring a 3.1-mile out-and-back course on a level, crushed gravel surface that crosses the historic half-mile High Bridge. The race starts and finishes at 1466 Camp Paradise Road, with $5 parking at the site. Online registration is $30 (early) or $35 (June 1–6); family discounts of $2.50 per person apply for groups of four or more registering together. Packet pickup occurs Friday, June 5, 11:30 a.m.–6 p.m. at Virginia's Heartland Regional Visitor Center in Farmville, with a complimentary $5 parking voucher for those who pick up early. All proceeds benefit High Bridge Trail State Park programs, and local businesses provide raffle prizes drawn at the awards ceremony, with all participants automatically entered.
