The race.
The Queen City Trail Series Iron Division takes place May 28, 2026, in Iron Mountain, Michigan, offering five race distances: 5K, 6K, 8K, 3 miles, and 10K. This is the first race in a five-month series running May through September across three locations, with a championship finale in October in Marquette. Scoring uses a proportional points system based on each race's winning time, allowing meaningful competition across different courses. Participants can enter individual races or multiple events throughout the series, with more race participations increasing chances of winning the overall series title. Some races use trails maintained by the Down to Nature organization; donations for trail maintenance are available at dtntrails.org.
