The race.

RTC Open Water Swim hosts a members-only open water swim on Wednesday, June 17, 2026, at Robious Landing in Midlothian, VA. Swimmers can choose between a 1-mile or 1500-yard distance, with all participants departing at 6:05 p.m. from the dock. Arrival by 5:45 p.m. is required for the safety briefing and sign-in; registration closes at 3 p.m. the day of the event. Swim buoys and bright swim caps are mandatory; a limited number are available to borrow. Participants must be at least 18 years old and sign out after swimming. New swimmers may request a swim angel to accompany them, subject to volunteer availability.
