About the race

The race.

The Runestone Ramble Trail Run takes place June 27, 2026, at Kensington Runestone Park near Alexandria, Minnesota. Two distances are offered: a 7K trail run starting at 8:30 AM and a 1-mile kids ramble starting at 9:45 AM. Both courses begin and finish near the park's visitors center. Bib pickup occurs Saturday morning from 7:00 to 8:15 AM at the visitors center, where indoor bathrooms are available. Participants who preregister online by June 13 receive a t-shirt. The 7K is chip-timed with results provided at the finish; awards go to the top three male and female finishers at 10:00 AM. Proceeds benefit Alexandria Nordic Club's local high school and middle school ski programs and trail development.
