The race.
The San Diego Holiday Half Marathon & 5K takes place on December 19, 2026, in San Diego, California. The half marathon course covers 13.1 miles, starting on Penasquitos Drive at the Hotel Karlan and following Carmel Mountain Road and the 56 bike path to finish at Torrey Pines State Beach. The 5K distance is also offered. The half marathon route features a net elevation drop of 711 feet along the bike path, with a significant hill at mile 1.5.
