The race.
The Silver Lead Creek 5K takes place on June 13, 2026, at Little Trout Lake Park in K.I. Sawyer, Michigan, as part of a grand re-opening celebration. The free 5K run/walk starts at 2 p.m. near the band pavilion and is open to all ages and abilities. The out-and-back course uses new gravel trails in two directions, with the final half mile on dirt trail through woods southeast of the lake, featuring over 150 feet of elevation gain. Participants must sign up in advance, sign a waiver, and wear a race bib obtained at the Forsyth Forward table before the 2 p.m. start. Pets are not permitted.
