St. Patrick's Day Pre-Parade 5K/1 Miler 2026

The race.

Hometown Happenings hosts a timed 5K and non-timed 1-mile run on March 17, 2026, in Crown Point, Indiana, held before the evening St. Patrick's Day parade. The course runs along city streets and through residential neighborhoods. Packet pickup occurs from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. on race day. Finisher medals are awarded to the first 200 registrants; race awards recognize top overall finishers and the top three runners in each ten-year age group. Entry fees are $30 for the 5K and $25 for the 1-miler and children ages 3–12 (under 3 free). Optional race shirts cost $16 if ordered by March 3. Post-race refreshments include green beer. Proceeds benefit St. Matthias Food Pantry and Challenger Learning Center of NWI.
