About the race
The race.
The Summer Cross Country Series runs Tuesday evenings at 7 PM through Waveny Park in New Canaan, Connecticut, featuring eight races of varying distances: 2.2, 2.25, 2.3, 2.85, 2.9, 3, 4K, and 6 miles. Races may be postponed to the following Thursday at the same time in case of severe weather including thunderstorms or high heat and humidity. Prize T-shirts are awarded to the top 3 overall finishers, as well as to first-place finishers in the 18 & under and 40 & over categories for both men and women, provided they have not won previously. Additional awards are given in the Predicted Time race to those closest to their predicted times and in the Age Graded 5K race based on WMA Age Graded Tables.
