The Summer Sizzle Adventure Race takes place Saturday, June 13, 2026, in Spotsylvania Courthouse, VA, centered around Lake Anna State Park. This 5-hour adventure race combines navigation, hiking, biking, and paddling across marked checkpoints; participants navigate using provided topographic maps and can compete solo or in teams of 2, 3, or 4 people, with a Family Division option. Registration includes a kayak or canoe with paddle and lifejacket, a race shirt (guaranteed for registrations before April 1), high-quality topographic maps, race photography, and a post-race meal. Custom awards are presented to the top 3 finishers in each division: Solo (Female and Male), 2-Person Teams (Mixed, Female, and Male), 3-Person Teams (Mixed, Female, and Male), 4-Person Teams (Mixed, Female, and Male), and Family Division. The event is USARA-sanctioned and scores points toward Virginia State Parks Adventure Series rankings and USARA national rankings.
