About the race

The race.

The Tacos & Miche 5K Run takes place on June 28, 2026, at Yokuts Park in Bakersfield, California. The event features a 3.1-mile 5K race and a 2-mile speed walk, with kids races for ages 10 and under. Race day begins at 6:45 a.m. with kids races, followed by the 5K and 2-mile races at 7:00 a.m. All finishers receive a Reyes Running Series heart medal, free tacos, a michelada, and Mexican aguas frescas. Participants registered by June 15th receive an event shirt. Age group awards are given to top finishers in both male and female categories, with the top 5 in each division recognized.
