About the race
The race.
The 42nd All-American Mile Run takes place on Friday, July 3, 2026, in Highland, Indiana, starting at 6:30 PM from 40th Street and Kennedy Avenue. This chip-timed one-mile race welcomes all ages and serves as the opening event for the Twilight Independence Day Parade. Registration costs $15 through July 2 or $20 on race day (5:00–6:15 PM at the SToH Administration Building; cash or check only). Early registrants are guaranteed a T-shirt. Awards include top-three finishes by age division, overall male and female winners, masters categories, and special prizes for the fastest sub-4:00 male and sub-4:50 female finishers.
