Alive and Running VA 5K Fun Run/Walk - LIVE AND VIRTUAL RACE 2026

The race.

The Alive and Running VA 5K Fun Run/Walk takes place September 12, 2026, at Battle Creek VA Medical Center in Battle Creek, Michigan. Participants may compete in a live event on the medical center campus or complete a virtual 5K between September 12 and October 3. The live course starts and finishes in the parking lot at the medical center entrance, ascending the main hill and circling the historic campus twice before returning downhill. Packet pickup occurs Friday, September 11, from 4:30 to 6:00 p.m. and Saturday, September 12, from 7:00 to 9:00 a.m. at the medical center entrance. All registrants receive a race t-shirt; however, shirts for same-day registrations are distributed on a first-come, first-served basis. Registration fees are $15 early bird through July 1, $20 through September 11, and $30 on race day. The event benefits Gryphon Place and raises awareness for suicide prevention in military, veteran, and youth populations.
