Chasing Daylight 5K 2026

The race.

The Chasing Daylight 5K takes place on Saturday, June 20th, 2026, in Poughkeepsie, NY. Participants run a 5K course that starts at the Walkway Over the Hudson (East Side), crosses the walkway, descends to the Mid-Hudson Bridge, crosses the bridge, and returns to the MJN Center, with the race beginning at 7:15 PM. Registration opens at 5:30 PM at the MJN Center, and lineup begins at 7:00 PM. Runners choose a local Hudson Valley nonprofit organization to dedicate their race to, with 25% of registration fees going directly to the selected organization. Finishers receive a medal, event t-shirt, swag bag, and one complimentary drink. An afterparty runs from 7:45 PM to 10:45 PM at the MJN Center, featuring food, drinks, vendors, games, raffles, awards, and a photo booth. The three nonprofits with the fastest averaged times for their first five finishers receive prizes: $5,000 for first place, $3,000 for second, and $1,000 for third.
