The race.
This October 18, 2026 race in Cleveland Heights benefits EDWINS Leadership & Restaurant Institute, which supports formerly incarcerated individuals. Participants choose between a 1-mile neighborhood fun run on sidewalks and a 3.5-mile trail run starting and ending at EDWINS Restaurant (12383 Cedar Road) that includes water crossings and rocky terrain through Doan Creek. The 5K trail run is chip-timed; the 1-mile fun run is untimed. Age groups range from 9 and under through 70 and over, with awards for the top 3 finishers in each category. Packet pickup begins at 9 AM on race day. Pre-registration costs $30 for the 5K and $20 for the 1-mile option, with race-day rates of $35 and $25 respectively; the deadline for mailed entries is October 16. Race shirts are guaranteed for pre-registered runners.
