Electric 5k 2026

The race.

The Electric 5K takes place on July 3, 2026, in Las Cruces, New Mexico, featuring a 5K race and a 1-mile fun run. Both events start and finish on West Hadley Avenue across from the Meerscheidt Center, with the 1-mile beginning at 7:30 p.m. and the 5K at 8:00 p.m. using chip timing. The 5K course runs south on West Hadley to Solano, north to Madrid, then loops back with less than 10 feet of elevation gain. Participants receive bibs and t-shirts, with age group awards given for both distances and overall top-three finishers in the 5K. Finishers enjoy post-race snacks and drinks, and race photos and videos are posted to the results page. Proceeds benefit the Las Cruces Running Club Summer Youth Program and area high school cross-country programs; children 14 and under run free.
