The race.
The Freedom 5K Run for the Wreath Fun Run/Walk takes place July 4, 2026, in Gardnerville, Nevada, as part of the "We Run This Town" series. The 5K starts and finishes at Heritage Park (1447 Courthouse Alley, Ezell Street side), with registration beginning at 7:00 a.m. and the race starting at 8:00 a.m. Pre-registration fees are free for runners 10 and under, $25 for runners 11 and up, and $20 for military/veterans; day-of registration costs $35, $25 for military/veterans, and $20 for virtual participation. All finishers receive medals, and first through third place finishers receive trophies. Five dollars from each registration supports Wreaths Across America to honor 225 military veterans at Garden Cemetery. Dogs on leash are permitted at the back of the starting pack.
