Intermediate Sailing: September 12/13 2026

The race.

Intermediate sailing instruction takes place September 12-13, 2026 in San Diego, CA at Fiddler's Cove Marina from 9 am to 4 pm. Participants must be at least 16 years old and have completed a beginner sailing course with minimum 5 hours of sail time. A valid California Boater Card or course completion certificate is required before the first class; digital cards received upon course completion are accepted. Registration includes boat rental, instruction, and textbooks; participants are assigned one to four per boat depending on boat size, conditions, and skill development needs. Eligible participants include those at rank levels E1-E6, E7 and above, retirees, veterans, DoD employees, and sponsored civilian guests. Upon completion, participants receive a Navy Sailing Qualification Card.
